Traditionally, driving belts are made of rubber, but for certain applications it is preferable to use polyurethane belts.
PU Timing belts _ MXL-XL-L and T2.5-T5-T10 pitches
The classic trapezoidal profile is the original tooth design of timing belts. This tooth profile can be used in transport and power transmission applications, and is suitable for less demanding applications.
These types of profile are also available with double teeth: DMXL-DXL and DT5-DT10.
PU Timing belts _ STS S2M and S3M profile
This curvilinear profile ensures better load distribution on the tooth, reduced backlash, less wear and less noise.
It is a good profile for linear and rotary positioning, as well as for high-speed power transmission.
PU Timing belts _ TN triangular profile
Triangular toothing has been developed for small applications requiring high positioning accuracy.
PU Timing belts _ AT5 and AT10 profile
This trapezoidal profile has been developed to allow greater loading capacity and reduced backlash. The stiffer teeth make these belts ideal for linear positioning and motion control, but may require larger diameter pulleys.
Poly Chain® Belts _ 8MGT and 14MGT pitches
The Polychain® Belt is developed and patented by Gates.
It is the Belt that transmits the highest power.
Available for 8MGT and 14MGT pitches.
