Non-standard polyurethane timing belts

Gates TPU Synchro-Power GPP belts are high performance, high quality belts designed to improve precision at high speeds.

Standard GPP belts use steel reinforcement Cords to provide optimum tensile strength and allow smaller pulley diameters. Reinforced RSL belts have very high tensile strength and stiffness for high dynamic flexibility.

These belts are ideal for highly dynamic vertical lifting and positioning applications.

A wear-resistant nylon fabric on the toothed side allows the belts to run smoothly with high abrasion resistance and minimal noise.

Synchro-Power GPP8 Timing belts

Gates TPU basic 8M parabolic profile belt is ideal for light to medium duty linear drive applications, door openers and any other application requiring an endless welded timing belt system for transport.

  • Highly flexible steel cabling accommodates very small pulley diameters
  • Stainless steel cabling is available as an option for highly corrosive environments
  • Standard 92°Shore A urethane is durable and abrasion resistant for temperatures from -5 to +70°C
  • For low-temperature applications (freezing, storage or outdoor equipment), low-temperature urethane is available as an option
  • ISO 13050 R8 tooth form is used for RPP8 and HTD8M Pulleys
  • Nylon fabric tooth side for low friction and low noise - nylon fabric back side optional

Synchro-Power GPP8-RSL Timing belts

Available in the same dimensions as the GPP8, our RSL Belt is fitted with a high-strength steel cord.
A GPP8-RHF belt is available for smaller Pulley diameters.

  • Higher tensile strength and stiffness are ideal for high-precision, highly dynamic linear applications with light to medium loads, as well as medium-weight applications.
  • Standard applications: RPP8 or HTD8M Pulleys
  • High-load applications: HTD8M SG (shallow groove) pulleys are recommended for a perfect fit and longer service life.
  • Standard version for temperatures from -5 to +70°C (low temperature version for -30 to +50°C).
  • Nylon fabric tooth side for low friction and low noise - nylon fabric back side optional.

Thanks to a special cabling, our 14M pitch parabolic profile belt offers high tensile strength and extremely high rigidity with low elastic elongation.

  • The ISO 13050 R14 tooth form works in RPP14 or HTD14M Pulleys.
  • High-load applications: HTD14M SG (shallow-groove) pulleys are recommended for longer service life.
  • Standard version for temperatures from -5 to +70°C (low temperature version for -30 to +50°C)
  • Nylon fabric on tooth side for low friction and low noise - optional nylon fabric on tooth and back.

Thanks to its extremely high strength, our GPP14-RSL Belt is perfect for heavy lifting and highly dynamic linear motion applications, such as high load stacker cranes in automated warehouses, including freezers and material handlers in the automotive industry.

  • High-load applications: use HTD14M SG (shallow groove) pulleys for a perfect fit and longer service life
  • Standard version for temperatures from -5 to +70°C (low temperature version for -30 to +50°C)
  • Nylon fabric on tooth side for low friction and low noise - nylon fabric optional on tooth and back of pulley.

PRECISE AND DURABLE LINEAR MOTION

Our advances in materials science, design engineering and processing technologies enable Gates to provide high tensile strength products for applications involving heavy loads or high acceleration.

The extremely high stiffness of HPL14-RSL allows high precision to be achieved during long linear actuation with minimal elastic elongation under high load.

The standard HPL14-RSL Belt has a nylon fabric on the teeth.

e-Belt Timing belts

The steel Cords of the Belts are exposed at the ends of the Belt for fixing the electrical connectors. Open-ended e-Belts can be cut to any length. Several pitches of Timing belts and Flat belts are available.

These belts can supply limited electrical power to small motors or actuators and can transmit electrical signals - saving the space and cost of separate installations of electrical cables and drive guides. Maximum power is determined by the construction and number of steel Cords used for electrical transmission.
