These belts are made to length for conveying or positioning.
There are different tooth profiles.
Linear Timing belts designed for conveying loads are available in different pitches:
POWERGRIP™ - PITCHES: MXL, XL, L AND H
The classic trapezoidal profile is the original tooth design of Timing belts. This tooth profile can be used in transport and power transmission applications. The width of the teeth ensures good load carrying capacity on the sliding surface. This profile is suitable for less demanding applications.
POWERGRIP™ HTD™ - PITCHES: 3M, 5M, 8M AND 14M
This rounded profile was originally developed for power transmission. It is excellent in linear and rotary positioning as well as power transmission.
The higher teeth reduce the risk of teeth jumping compared to trapezoidal profiles, but this profile is noisier and more susceptible to wear.
POWERGRIP™ GT - PITCHES: 2MR, 3MR, 5MR AND 8MR
This profile guarantees better load distribution on the tooth, reduced backlash, less wear and less noise.
It is a good profile for linear and rotary positioning as well as for power transmission.
All of the open-end belts in the Powergrip™ range consist of steel or fibreglass tensile cords with rubber teeth and back of the belt (nylon coating).
POLY CHAIN® GT CARBON™ IN 8MGT AND 14MGT PITCHES
POLY CHAIN® GT CARBON™ belts have a carbon tensile cord, the toothing and back of the belt is polyurethane (fabric reinforced toothing).
